When I was in high school I can remember all of the girls, including myself, loving small handbags. The most popular one’s were the Louis Vuitton “Monogram” Pochette and Coach “Signature Khaki” Demi. It’s so tiny, that I’m not even sure what you can fit in it. The most you can probably put in this clutch is your cell phone, compact, lips gloss and some cash. Small or not, this bag would be an amazing evening bag.

The Tory Burch “Reva” Clutch can be purchased for $350. The price does seem a little pricey for a bag you can’t fit much it, but it definitely is gorgeous.10luoyuejun0716

Last week the sexiest woman alive (so says Esquire) had an appearance on the Letterman show. After taping the show, Jessica Biel greeted her fans and signed autographs wearing a fitted gray coat, a beautiful YSL bag, and red lipstick 3857673 shades too dark. The price is exactly why I justify this bag to be two separate entities.

Right when you arrive at a hotel, you expect the bellhop to be at your service. As a child I remember thinking it was really neat to have the bellhop take our bags to our room. If the bellhop was really nice, he would let me ride on the bag carrier. Louis Vuitton had an ad in 1921 that inspired their new Louis Vuitton Monogram Groom Collection. Top left is the Louis Vuitton Monogram Groom Agenda PM which sizes up at 4″ x 6″ and has a golden snap closure at the center. The interior has three credit card slots, a leather pen holder (which of course fits an LV agenda pen), and holds the small ring agenda refill. The agenda PM can be bought for $300 via eLuxury. Bottom left is the Louis Vuitton Monogram Groom Compact Zipped Wallet which brings a cute vibe to your money holder of choice. There is blue colored grained calf lining along with a zip change purse, three credit card slots, two slot pockets, and a bill pocket. The wallet is available via eLuxury for $540. Lastly, we have the Louis Vuitton Monogram Groom Porte Monnaie Rond which pairs its circular shape with a golden zip closure and golden chain and hook. Perforations seem to be Jimmy Choo’s trend for his latest collection. While we have already seen perforated accent on his new Mandah bag, this time around, he does it on this Bree Large Leather HERMES Handbags. Instead of coming as just accents, the entire bag is actually designed with such.

Perforations are all throughout this bag but not on the usual plain smooth leather that makes other perforated bags look so sporty. The perforations on this bag are made on textured leather with small dotted designs throughout, making this carryall elegant looking and giving it with just a hint of sporty appeal. Louis Vuitton Taiga Dersou

Its strap is long enough for a comfortable cross-body fit (I am not a small guy at 6′1″, 215lbs…), the inside compartment fits my 17 inch Macbook Pro like it was made for it. I initially had eyeballed the smaller LV Viktor or LV Alexei, which wouldn’t have been wide enough for the laptop, though. If you are looking for a stylish messenger for your boyfriend, husband or yourself, those are definitely two models to consider. Being a guy who carries around his 17 inch Macbook like it was an essential part of my body, I had to go with a wider version. At the Louis Vuitton store on 5th Ave, the friendly SA presented me with the aforementioned models, but I ended up with the bigger Dersou, because it seemed to be big enough to fit the ‘puter. When I arrived at home, I realized that it actually did!

The Louis Vuitton Dersou is made of waterproof canvas, which makes it wind-and-weather proof and keeps its contents nicely dry. Whether you want to carry the $1,270 bag into the rain, is a different story. The flap is made of my favorite Louis material, the Taiga leather. The texture almost makes the leather seem like a vinyl material, it seems very durable and I am sure it will be of great service for many, many years. Inside, you have a zipper compartment and two vertical patch pockets under the flap. An additional large zippered pocket on the back gives extra storage space.

What can I say? I am loving it. This purchase is both exciting… and dangerous as well – I’ve already caught myself peeking at all the other wonderful men’s collection goodies Louis Vuitton has in store. The store experience itself was a lot of fun, I would like to thank my SA Sandy P. for her help and making me feel comfortable purchasing this bad boy.

Again, Megs and I have been aiming our coverage on handbags in the upper price bracket… for mortals anyway. Sorry about that, we really need a boot in the rear sometimes to get us back on the rough grounds that we call reality. Not many people are willing to drop high-three or four-plus figures on a bag. Cute can be reasonable as well. While the Alexander McQueen Novak goes for almost $1,500, this Tommy Bahama Frame Coin Messenger goes for less than a 1/10 of that price. I know the bags are fundamentally different in quality and structure, there’s still something about the C.d.C. Messenger that reminds me of the Novak. It may be the rounded patches on the bag’s bottom that it has in common with the Novak.

Of all the Peekaboo bags from Fendi, I guess there’s nothing more sophisticated and very womanly than this Fendi Peekaboo Medium Canvas Bag. It’s like the perfect carryall for the women on the go, particularly for those who find their office as their second home.

I am the Queen of Clutches. Not technically, but I am a lover of clutches- which you all know by now. Breaking into the world of bags is Hayden Harnett, a brand I have talked about before. For a quirky cool clutch check out the Hayden Harnett Washed Leather Belt Handled Clutch. This clutch is not only small and practical but unique and bold. The top part of the clutch is so intriguing and different. There is an oversize belted handle and a really funky leather strap with large clip attachment at the top of the clutch. On the inside there is twill lining and pockets for the most necessary goodies any tech diva should have, a cellie and an iPod. This clutch designed of soft garment-washed leather is different and striking. Something about the iznik yellow draws me in.

Valentino’s designs are usually done in suede or patent leather and there are also some that are studded with gleaming sequins.

Coming across a bag that comes in such materials and with floral or bow design already tells that that is from Valentino. Seeing this Valentino Medium Denim Nuage Bag kind of surprised me, obviously not because of the bow detail on the side, but because of the material used on this HERMES Handbags.

Metallic is not out. Seems to me like it won’t be out for a while (seeing that Gucci used it all over the runway for fall/winter). Today is the day of Mr. Marc for all of us; sit back, relax, and enjoy his beautiful bags. The Marc by Marc Jacobs Soft Metallic Leather Fran Bag is glamorous and can be worn dressy or casual. There is something about the soft bronze metallic leather that gives off a perfect amount of glimmer and gold. This tote is flat but still has room for storage with its zipped front pocket and large front pocket. Carry this bronze beauty with topstitched leather shoulder straps with a 9.5″ drop. Closing with a brass pull for the zip top, this bag opens up to show off an inside pocket and floral twill lining.

Holiday season is fast approaching and it is very surprising to see that Judith Leiber is already offering a Christmas-themed minaudiere to accompany your getup. Little Pink Tool Kit

Roughly three weeks ago, when I left Megs in Columbus to what I like to call the lonely bitterness of a masters degree at the other end of the world, I had my layover in Charlotte, NC. For the past year and a half, since Megs and I started the whole long distance thing, I must have travelled through Charlotte a good 15 times. That particular airport became my favorite layover because US Airways, my airline of choice, flies Airbus 330s for the long 9 1/2 hour trip, which have individual TV units with remotes for each seat. Score! Also, because Megs and I are still going strong, despite the ridiculous distance, CLT has become a symbol of something wonderful and I like it. Ok, enough of the sentimental shnazz.

As I walked from one terminal to the other, I noticed a screamingly bright pink booth that caught my attention. Being the resident bag blogger, a pink bag attracted my attention. More specifically, it was the Little Pink Tool Kit, a 10 piece tool set in pink, nicely organized in a pink carry case. From what I read, a portion of each sale are donated to breast cancer organizations. Not sure how much of the $80 tool bag actually go towards a good cause, including that information would be probably helpful. I should have mentioned this bag for weeks now, as the brochure had been sitting on my desk, but I guess I was just too lazy.
